Paula Byrne FCCA MBA is a tax specialist, lecturer, author and trainer with a passion for making taxation understandable — and even enjoyable.
Paula lectures in Advanced Taxation and postgraduate taxation programmes and has taught at both Griffith College and UCD. Her students have achieved numerous prizes in ACCA Advanced Tax, and she is the author of the only ACCA-approved Irish Tax textbooks.
She is also the creator and host of the Study for Tax in Your Coffee Break podcast and a member of the ACCA Education Global Forum.
Paula regularly delivers CPD sessions to ACCA members and provides bespoke tax training to Big 4 firms and other leading accountancy practices.
Alongside her education and training work, Paula has run Paula Byrne Accountants since 2002, advising clients across a wide range of industries. Her earlier career included senior finance roles in Ireland and internationally, including Chief Financial Officer at HSBC Ireland.
Above all, Paula believes tax does not have to be dull — and her teaching and training reflect that.
